As we go into 2012 I am reminded of how we are learning to view our life choices in a new way.  One of the resolutions for this year is to seek more training for healthier options to use on a daily basis.   Wishing you all the best so that you may continue pursuing your dreams and knowing each day, that you are getting a step closer to some newer ones.  Also, since our bodies need to be healthy: physically, emotionally, mentally and spiritually, lets make sure that work and play/relaxation is in balance. 

 

Going into the 7^th year (more about numerology in the feature treatment) of Cochrane & Area Wholistic Community “Canada’s Wholistic Directory”, I am excited, as this journey with the directory and news letters has brought a lot of learning and growth into not only my life, but others as well.   We are grateful for all that you share with us, the research that I get to do, and the positive shifts in our health is so worth it.  I love doing this, as it is “Seeking the Truth, Trusting and Receiving the results on a healthier level” to enhance our health on all levels.

 

Thank you and Wishing You all the best for 2012 on all levels of well being.  Hold on to your dreams, have fun and enjoy each step towards your goals.  Enjoy life as it should be. 

 

 

Numerology

 

Over the last few years, numbers and the meaning of numerology has become an important part of my life. Here is what I can share on numerology and maybe you may get as excited about what you see too.  “Angel Numbers” by Doreen Virtue and “The Life You were Born to Live” by Dan Millman are the two books that have helped out a lot.  Angel Numbers is excellent for looking up numbers that you see all the time.  For example, many get drawn to the number 111 and some wonder why.  

           

            111:  (page 47 Angel Numbers)  “An energetic gateway has opened for you, rapidly manifesting your thoughts into reality.  Choose your thoughts wisely at this time, ensuring that they match your desires.  Don’t put any energy into thinking about fears at all, lest you manifest them.”  (I just realized, while reading this again, on how I get side tracked with my goals and dreams and need to reword what I would like to see). 

           

When we see this number, we can stop and ask ourselves what we would like to create in our lives.  I take these moments to review what I am working on and also to say thank you for what is going on.  I may be in the middle of getting ready to do a treatment, or go tobagoning with the grandkids and be drawn to look at the clock, see the 111 and that I am so grateful to be able to do what my heart loves to do.

 

            7’s, 7^th year:  here is a couple of definitions:                                           

7's open up to a point of faith in themselves and others:  Trust and Openness

7  Thought / consciousness.

 

            Birth numbers are very important to understanding who you are and what your life has been about.  When the book by Dan Millman showed up 2 years ago as a gift, I was amazed at how the birth numbers really explained how we are.  Sure we have our choices, of which the book explains.  When each of my family members number was calculated, the number definitions read, there is no coincidence.  Each member and their number was so true of who they are. 

Example:  

one of the grandkids:  September 13 2001       09 13 2001  add them up:    0+9+1+3+2+0+0+1=  16  1+ 6= 7 

        life number is 16/7   or   7

 

When I add mine up I get:  25 /7 

7: Trust and Openness    From Dan Millmans book “Individuals working 7 as their life purpose are here to trust the light or spirit within them, in others, and in the process of their lives so that they feel safe enough to open up and share their inner beauty with the world.”

            After reading this and the rest of the section, I realized that I am not alone in how I see life and the challenges I have had, relate to being a 7.  I don’t believe in labels, or anything like that, but when there is an explanation as what I read, this book has become a must to read for those who are wondering what they are missing, or how their lives go as they do.  And we do have choices.  No matter who we are, where we are and how we live our life styles.  

 

When you see a number, or number sequence showing up all the time, look into it and see what the universe is trying to show you.  Either affirmation that you are on the right track, or suggestion of what you can do to get on the right track for you and your personal life. 

 

For the fun of it, I just looked up the symbolism behind the date that the directory was registered:

            Cochrane & Area Wholistic Community was registered:  March 30 2006   3+3+0+2+0+0+6=   14/5

    5’s:  “Those on the life path are here to work through issues related to independence, stability, and creative energy, finally achieving freedom by surrendering to the discipline of a step by step process toward chosen goals.”    Seems weird to put a number to a business, but when I just read this, is it not true? 

 

The directory and newsletters bring us friends, practitioners, health information and alternatives so that we can achieve our goals: physically, mentally, emotionally and spiritually.  When we get started into this wonderful journey, it does take steps.  One day at a time, lesson by lesson, and experiences to know that we have the power to change our lives.

 

Again, Thank You for being part of this journey with us, where it be numerically, spiritually, as a practitioner, supplier, instructor or friend.  We all are part of the bigger picture.

                                                                        Cloaked

 

Consider that we envision guides and angels and dimensional beings in a certain way. Those imaginings are the result of art from past centuries and from others. Consider such concepts are merely a cloak used to grant us less fear.  Some of these beings have humanoid forms under their cloaks. Some do not.

 

We ourselves are wearing such a cloak. We begin now to see our own true natures. Some of us have humanoid forms under our own cloaks; some do not. 

 

The humanoid form is the most prevalent template in all the universes, though it has variations.  Some have enlarged heads due to increase in brain capacity. Some forms are hairless.  Some have more or less digits: toes and fingers.  Some are different colors.  Eyes may be larger or smaller. Noses, ears and mouths may be non existent or merely slits.  Some have no form at all but are globes or arcs of swirling or static energy and light. Some are simply sensed with no visible form.

 

So much of our imaginings are images imposed by external sources: art, conversations, religious training, misinterpreted ancient scripts or modern graphics.

 

To create original thought we must put away old ideas and simply allow for new ones to appear. Original thought is not isolated or unique in consciousness. Many inventions appeared simultaneously worldwide by those able to draw in the energy to make them real, to give form to their impressions and insights.

 

Use your internal eyes and peel off your cloak.

 

You did not originate from this planet. Your star brothers and sisters will remind you as they soon put in their long awaited appearance. We are to be welcomed into the arms of the greater universes as our consciousness rises above the third dimensional cloud of unloving behavior. We are being welcomed back into Love, compassion and Unity. We will be more aware of our multi existences without being overwhelmed.  Simply compare these coming times to your dream states.  Things aren’t sequential. Many disconnected things happen as you rapidly shift your focus in your dreams. We get along just fine in our dreams.  It’s easy because our dreams allow us to experience our real multidimensional selves.

 

Because you are multidimensional, you exist in other places right now, in our waking state.  We just don’t give it our focus, or belief. Nevertheless, it is real. You may not understand physics or microwaves or photosynthesis of plants exchanging oxygen and carbon dioxide, but they are real.  They exist here now and are processes going on without your need to focus.  Your body is running without your paying attention to it.  Soon we will take charge and direct our bodies how we want them to run. Right now many of us are directing our DNA to re-pattern itself to copy its unconsciously remembered perfect pattern.  Simply acknowledge there is a perfect pattern of your DNA existing somewhere, some when, somehow. Then instruct your current subconscious to reach out, and overlay that perfect pattern on your now DNA. You can.  You are multidimensional.  You exist everywhere, every when, every how.  Don’t argue.  There is nothing to lose by the imagining of it.  We are moving into the place of creation by choice. We thus step into our true power as galactic beings.

 

So take off your old cloak and see one of your galactic selves that exist simultaneously under it. We are so much more than we yet think.

 

Don’t worry. You can put your old cloak on if you scare yourself and pretend you are limited.  It’s an option. But the imaginings to be explored are mind boggling. We are creators in creative universe. Create. Play. Uncloak. It’s an option.

(food alternatives & health)

 

Both my daughter and I found the traditional Christmas food to be hard on our stomachs this year, of which we are in a sense grateful for.  Even though most of the Christmas cooking and treats are all home made, the richness of the foods was very noticeable.  Our daily eating habits have become healthier, bodies feel better and health stronger.  When we indulge in the extra flours, sugars and sauces the effects are felt right away.  One feels sluggish, indigestion and crampy. 

 

Finding alternatives in cooking and baking to provide a healthier balance is fun.  It is rare that we eat cooked veggies, they are usually eaten raw on what ever dish we make, except home made tomatoe soup.  (I use frozen tomatoes from the summer for the tomatoe base.)  Or unless one lightly steams some broccoli and adds some cheese as a topping.  This is a meal in itself.  More than half of our meal would be considered raw, higher in the essential vitamins and minerals, and finding the proteins that we can easier digest along with tasting good. 

 

Have found recipes that have a very light sauce and will change what I used the sauce for.  Always cut back on or out the sugar.  May use honey or maple syrup instead.  If the recipe calls for bean sprouts for the main ingredient, I have used lentils instead.  Using pasta salad recipes and leaving out the pasta and using just the veggies.  So filling and you don’t feel sleepy after. 

 

 When one does not eat much meat, you would be seeking dishes with more protein, adding the legumes.  Brocholli for calcium for those that don’t drink much milk.  When we nourish our bodies, they feel great and your personal energy increases on all levels. 

 

Listen to your body when you eat.  Record when you feel sickly after, till you pin point what is bothering your stomach.  Delete the ingredient the next time from your plate.  Many times we can not only feel a lot better but also our weight becomes easier to manage.  If the ingredients are part of a main dish, then find alternatives for your self, so that your can all enjoy the meals taste wise and health wise.

This plant and its oils and teas are excellent in the winter time to ward off viruses and colds.  I use the tea for chest colds and the oils to clean the air.  

 

Eucalyptus    (Eucalyptus globulus)

            Contains:

            Other:

alpha-pinene, beta pinene, caffeic acid, carvone, ferulic acid, gallic acid, gentistic acid, hyperoside, p-cymene, quercetin, quercitrin, rutin,

            Plant:

Native to Australia, this plant is part of the myrtle family.  Eucalyptus has over 700 species, and is now being grown in many countries including Canada on Salt Springs Island.  The plant is easy to start from seed.  The Eucalyptus plant is one of 3 known gum trees.  The other two are Angophora and Corymbia.  These trees exude a lot of sap if the bark breaks or is injured. 

The Eucalyptus plant can grow from 33’ to 200’ tall.  The leaves of the plant are covered with oil glands and at the same time they can convert oxygen into ozone.  The leaves look waxy and they are long in shape.  The bark, leaves and oil are used for their healing properties. 

            Used for:

Lungs:  Inhaling the fumes of the oil helps to clear the lungs and sinuses.  Helps to heal bronchitis, croup and works with those with asthma. 

Stomach:  used to stop nausea (one small drop under the tongue).  Eucalyptus has been used to expel worms.

Skin: The oil is used as an antiseptic to prevent infections in the skin, or to stop germs from spreading and heal wounds.    You can use the oil, mixed with water as an insect repellant.  Been used to clear up external ulcers

Throat:  Eucalyptus can be found in many sore throat lozenges.

Diseases:   Eucalyptus has been used to treat malarial diseases, diphtheria, and Typhoid.

Other:  Been used to treat Paralysis and treating cancer.  The oil has been used to reduce swelling, and relief for sore muscles it has the properties to help increase the blood flow.  Veterinarians use Eucalyptus oil for distemper in dogs, influenza in horses, and for skin parasites or bug bites.

            Therapeutic action:   

antibiotic, antiseptic, antiviral

            Used as:

Wounds:  The oil can be mixed: 2 tsp oil to a pint of water or vegetable oil or rubbing alcohol for wounds. 

Breathing:  Add oil to vaporizers, sauna stones to ease breathing. 

Sore throat:  Eucalyptus can be found in some lozenges, liquid medicines and rubs.  As a tea, steep a handful of fresh or dried leaves in a quart of boiling water for 20 minutes.

Cleaning:  use the oil in the cleaning water.

“Some Dogs are Angels”  by Mark Starmer    This truly is an amazing book.  I rarely sit down and read a book anymore, and am so glad it was lent to me by a dear friend.  We had a wonderful dog, Romeo, for most of his life, though not an avatar as the dogs in this book, he truly was a blessing to our family.  Mark explains in his book the trials and rewards of living with dogs and many of them avatars, along with the same love his family has for the group of dogs that joined them and Romeo provided when he came home with us.          www.somedogsareangels.com
