Acutonics is done with tuning forks that are calibrated to the
frequencies and harmonic resonance's of the celestial bodies. Known as
"The Music of the Spheres" the vibrations of the tuning forks resonates
with every cell in our body and helps to provide healing to the
physical, mental, emotional and spiritual bodies.
Our bodies vibrate at a different rate and different frequency from our
feet to our crown. We want our feet to be very grounded to mother
Earth, which helps to keep us stable and focused on the now. The
vibration at our feet would be slower than the faster vibration at our
crown. At our crown the vibration should be a lot faster and almost
feel lighter. At our crown we are connecting with our higher or
spiritual self.
The Acutonics tuning forks are used for their different vibrations in
order to provide healing to our bodies, and as in the definition, the
vibrations resonates with our cells. When our body is in a physical
discomfort the vibration decreases along with our health. Just the same
as when your one minute happy and giddy, then you hear some sad news,
your vibration drops really fast. You feel heavy, and at a much slower
pace.
Think of all the times that you heard a higher vibration frequency and
you were not able to listen to it or it gave you shivers and the
willies. What shape was your mind and physical body in at the time?
I remember trying a crystal bowl, amazing vibration, as it resonated
through my whole body and felt so good. The lady displaying the bowls
mentioned that it was rare that someone felt comfortable with that
particular bowl, as the female and male essence of our soul was
balanced. I could have stood there all day and received the beautiful
vibrational energy. Have you tried a Tibetan Bowl? Same principal. My
whole back does an alignment, or I can hear or feel the shift from ear
to ear.
With Acutonics the practitioner is trained on how to apply the different
calibrated forks to the parts of the body where the healing is
required. The session is very relaxing as one lies on the table, and
receives the treatment.
This is a healing method that felt so right and I am looking forward to
some more sessions.

BodyTalk: Communicating with the Body
My client lay down on the table and reported that she felt suicidal at
times. Medications had thus far failed to work effectively for her.
Over the course of several days following her initial session where
emotions linked to lifetime events, she showed a distinct improvement
and after a few additional sessions she reported feeling relieved of her
depression and even optimistic. We were not finished however as a few
other issues came to the forefront relating to self-esteem, body image
and a long-standing pain in her shoulders. I continued to use BodyTalk
and started to incorporate other modalities to enhance the benefit. As
seen in this example, the body stores the changes made by the brain as a
memory, each session building on the previous one. The analogy to the
peeling of an onion or the surfacing of the unseen portion of the
iceberg certainly applied here. An athlete came in for work on his
injuries and BodyTalk identified extensive grief over a lifetime. The
next time he returned, Quantum Touch helped the pain to recede prior to
his next BodyTalk treatment. In this situation, my client had chosen
BodyTalk for pain relief as his first priority. While BodyTalk chose to
address grief prior to pain management, the system recommended Quantum
Touch for pain management.
BodyTalk is a unique holistic healthcare organized structure which
incorporates techniques and philosophies from many other systems
including: the energy dynamics of Acupuncture, Osteopathy, Applied
Kinesiology, the philosophy of Chiropractic, Hatha Yoga, Advaitic
philosophy, concepts from the fields of Information Science,
Informational Management, Dynamic Systems and Quantum Physics to name a
few.
BodyTalk falls within the Energy Medicine family along with all other
modalities that I bring to my practice. As a colleague pointed out, it
is good to have several tools in your toolbox. In my case, these
primarily involve Reiki, and Quantum Touch which is breathing into the
hands along with visualizations to top up vibrational energy. Others
include Colour/Sound Therapy, Brain Gym and emotional release
techniques. As a counsellor of twenty years, I also draw on techniques
used within this area as needed. While some clients do request BodyTalk
specifically, the beauty of this system is that it may go to other
techniques, either those that I can implement, the client can or other
practitioners. An example which comes to mind is a young woman who after
having experienced an injury, returned to yoga as a part of her healing
regimen.
The body addresses healing in a certain sequence, balancing the
energetic processes in the best manner possible. The practitioner acts
as a facilitator between the program and the innate wisdom of the body
to heal itself. Neuromuscular testing provides the yes and no answers
required to proceed through the Body/Mind complex. Answers are provided
by the body which also addresses the sequencing or priorities to be
addressed. A core BodyTalk principle is that the brain reflects illness
held in the body and hence the brain is a main focus for change,
including the enhancement of left/right brain function. BodyTalk is
recognized as a system which also addresses personal development and
spirituality.
It allows the energy systems of the body to become synchronized for
optimal function. The stressors of life can result in a decline in
functional health and well-being as a result of a disconnection of
communication at the basic level of cells and atoms. Re-establishing
energetic circuitry results in improved function at all levels, these
being physical, emotional, mental, symbolic and spiritual in nature.
This is a gentle and non-invasive modality which clients also report as
providing a very comforting experience. On a humorous note, I work with
massage therapists who sometimes refer clients to me. Occasionally I
have to inform my clients to remain fully- clothed.
Through a map of the Body/Mind Complex, the BodyTalk practitioner makes
use of left-brain logical linear thinking. Communication formulas become
more comprehensive as the practitioner engages right-brain intuitive
lateral thinking to establish the most detailed link possible. After
locating and linking up different areas of the body requiring enhanced
communication, the practitioner taps above the head, to register links
in the brain. Tapping over the heart stores the memory of these links.
Thus begins the process of enhanced communication leading to improved
function. BodyTalk has certainly enhanced my practice and is gaining
popularity many of my clients.

BRAIN GYM:
Educational Kinesiology: learning to redevelop the brains neural
pathways through physical movement in order to improve our
concentration, reading, memory, listening, confidence and more.
Brain Gym was developed by Dr. Paul E. Dennison and Gail E. Dennison
and their associates. Dr. Dennison graduated from Boston University
in the early 1960’s. He worked in elementary schools and became
implemental with other associates in many programs that have been
put into action: Reading programs, Educational Kinesiology (Edu-K)
and more.
Brain Gym was one of the first healing practices that I had been
introduced to. This is a fascinating way to learn how the brain
functions and how we can re-wire or re-direct our thinking
processes. From the time we are born (and even before birth) to the
present day, our brains and senses pick up a lot of information:
whether for the good or bad. These feelings, thoughts, taught
emotions and more can be changed in order that we can come out of
habits that have hindered our progress in life.
Following are some of the processes our brain goes through during a
thought or action:
Laterality:
Communication – we need to access both sides of our brain, eyes,
whole body, academic, and communication. When this is all
integrated we can feel successful, strong and capable.
Centering:
Organization – here we need to unite the emotional and abstract:
thought, fear, fight or flight, expressing ones self or emotions.
When this is integrated we feel centered, content, blessed and our
needs are met.
Focus:
Comprehension – connection of our back or frontal lobes, learning
process, being over focused. When this is integrated we become
attentive, more open, flexible and have a good perspective.
Homolateral
means the same side of the body. When both sides are turned on – we
are balanced. When one side or both sides are turned off, we are
unbalanced and unable to function productively.
Some examples
of being centered (balanced) and uncentered:
When homolateral is switched off:
When homolateral is switched on:
Off
center
Centered
Confused Clear
Scattered
Concentrates well
Gets thrown off
track Follows through easily
Disorganized
Productive
With Brain Gym we can switch the homolateral back on in order to
reach our messages a lot better and freely. Sometimes when we go
through experiences that have not been gentle and with kindness and
we turn our senses off in order to protect our self from further
hurt.
Being a shy child in school, and when you are asked to read a
paragraph or two, your voice is very quiet and the kids start to
tease you, you withdraw and no longer want to be part of that
experience. So we shut ourselves off.
Brain Gym is a wonderful technique for children, as they can do
exercises during the treatment. There are specific excursuses to
redevelope the brains neural pathways
according to what needs to be done. From doing hook ups to doing
the cross crawl. Along with muscle checking (to see what needs to
be addressed) to having a special exercise program, children love
the interaction and have fun. For more information go to:

House &
Business Clearings:
Many times I am
asked if house clearing is house cleaning. It is in a sense: the
clearing of energies that are in our homes that are not there for
our highest purpose. Energies that make us feel uncomfortable and
not welcome.
This is what I
have found in homes as they were being cleared:
Imprints caused by:
Emotions of tenants or past tenants:
fear, anger, sadness, anxiety, sorrow
Certain rooms or areas:
when a person lives in fear ex: being abused in a certain room, or
confrontations in a living room: these rooms need extra clearing and
more work.
Entities or spirits:
Energies:
entities or spirits that are stuck here on the earth: some very
obnoxious ones, some that are scared to go to the light (taught
beliefs of behavior and acceptance by God), and energies that are
hanging around and clinging to the others.
Many times when
we live in the homes with low energies, we come to believe that what
we feel is normal and it can not be changed. Whenever the energy is
low in my home or that if I can feel entities or spirits that are
here and not for my highest good, I do a clearing Because of being
sensitive, it is easier to pick up on the changes.
When ever we
move into a new home or old home, or even a business building, the
building should be fully cleared with a smudge before moving in. In
one home, I could feel the energy of a contractor in the utility
room, and yes we can be affected by that low energy. Many times it
may take an outsider to come in and do the cleaning, as some of the
energies seem to become too attached to the occupants of the
building.
As I go along
with the clearings, there is always something new to learn and
experience. The building is cleared from the bottom to the top, and
not one room or closet is missed. What I enjoy is the after effect
and the knowing that all the energy in the home is on a much higher
vibration and calmer.
Effects of
not having a house cleared or smudged before moving in:
Increased
fighting among family members, increased anger, sadness,
unwillingness to go into certain rooms, objects being moved or
broken and not by family members. Children and animals get scared
and unwilling to be let alone.

Coaching is being used in sports, weight loss, career
development, animal training, in schools with curriculam development and so
much more. Coaching has been a part of our lives since the beginning of
time: the parent, the sibling, the grand parent and the teachers. Many
people have had the privilege to have a mentor or exceptional parent or
teacher in thier life that opened so many doors. They were able to strive
to reach exceptional goals, careers and growth in general. Many of us have
had several teachers that each taught us on how to incorporate the lessons
in our lives to go forward, whether the lessons were pleasant or not. Some
have had themselves to credit for going the great lengths to success.
Coaching is found in so many techniques and with many
theories, all being of the same intention or goal. To help one strive to be
their best at what they love or to obtain their altimate goal. Coaching
helps to guide a person towards a career that embraces the skills and
passions that have been a dream or desire in ones life. The Career Coach
brings out your strengths and skills and aids in releasing your fears that
keep you from reaching your goal.
A lot of times it takes another person to share what they see
in you. See what you are capable of, what your gifts are and what work is
more suitable for who you really are. With our upbringing, we create blocks
that have become part of us, and when someone else can see this, it is
easier to release these blocks or expectations that we have of ourselves.
For example: I have had a wonderful session with a coach
that mostly resides in BC now. She was able to share all the ideas that I
was missing in my business. Being able to see beyond the parameter that we
have created. Several friends have been like personal coaches, they shared
what they could see me teaching or doing with my practice. Some instructors
have taught me how not to teach, many have taught me the value of being kind
and supportive. My parents taught me parental skills and unconditional
love. All the coaches in my life have help me achieve so many and amazing
goals.
We now have the privilege and honor to have professional
training for coaches. Training that provides the coaches to be kind and
gentle, to be supportive, to be strong when needed for the extra boost and
to coach in a constructive way. Our coaches today are have the knowledge to
open the doors for us to bigger possibilities and show that we can go way
beyond what we originaly dreamed of. These coaches know what to do to get
us beyond the blocks that we have created, along with providing the tools
that we can use in our daily lives for success: mentally, physically,
emotional, financially and spiritually.
In Canada’s wholistic directory we have Career Coaching, Life
Coaching, Mental Skills Coach, Business Coaching, and Wholistic Approach
Coaching. Following are our members under those listings, they are here to

Communication starts from the time we are conceived to the time
we pass to the other side. We all are raised with morals, respect and are
taught how to talk. But are we taught how to speak from our heart and to
share our feelings with love and no judgement. “When this happens, I really
feel….. “ “When the lights are not turned off, …. “ “When I hear your
voice raise I start to feel …..”
Communication in the office:
when a person raises their voice in an office or business setting they are
creating a feeling of discomfort. Not only does the recipient feel
uncomfortable, but this is also felt by everyone else in the area. No
matter how we try to protect ourselves from this attack, the vibration is
felt physically and mentally. And yes, we do start to create a barrier, so
that when verbally abusive person enters the room we start to shut down and
also become very nervous to have them there. This is especially hard when
the abuser is the owner of the company.
A pattern I have personally experienced, is that when one
obtains a position of a business owner, they seem to believe that they can
get away with acting unkind because they are stressed. When their voice
raises or they verbally abuse employees and customers are they showing signs
of fear? Fear of losing control? Angry at something and using the staff to
vent on? Or that someone may say something that they did not yet know in
front of a customer? So many uncomfortable feelings come out with the
vibrations of the attacks and everyone around them can be effected by this.
Many employees put up with this behavior because they depend on their
paychecks.
I believe that even though an employee is paid for working for a
company: respect is required from both sides. When we hire someone, we hire
on their skills or labour that they can offer the company. The employee is
brought in to enhance the company and help to increase the profit. The
employeer is offering a job for the employee and willing to pay for their
skills or labour. Not only does the business owners deserve respect but the
person hired does too, along with having a safe environment to work in. We
flourish better under safe and supportive conditions.
Communication in the home or in
public: the same applies here. When
we verbally abuse others because of our space being changed, or not having
things exactly the way we want them others we make the other residents
uncomfortable. If we are willing to live in the same place we need to be
ready respect each other.
Our emotional, physical and mental health is important at all times. So
when sometime is really umcomfortable you need to share the information but
wait till the anger subsides and you know you can talk and explain in a
constructive way. When I am asked nicely to make changes I hear a lot
better and can see why it is being asked and that I made a mistake. When I
am lashed at I blank it out and many times just end up not caring.
Ideas for both:
I will not profess to be an expert at communication skills but have had to
learn very quickly in the last 2 weeks to express my feelings in my home and
at work. I also was able to see a pattern that I was using over a year ago
and do not want to go back to that.
No matter who we are, or what position we hold, the minute we
raise our voice or treat others and around us with disrespect, our own level
of respectalbility takes a big dive.
- If we need to inform someone of a mistake or set some guide lines, we need
to be calm, take the time to fully explain what is going on and to also
listen. When a person aggresively talks to me, I tone out, my body shakes,
sometimes I feel intimidated, or embarrassed. As I feel not only my own
reactions, I am empathic to all those around me. While communicating, we
need to talk from our heart centre: no harsh words, no accusations and no
finger pointing. At any time, if we have a specific issue with a certain
person / employee, then you both find a quite space to talk. Never put
someone on the spot, that is very demeaning as it is emotionally and
mentally abusive.
- With what ever issue you are addressing, talk slowely, gage your voice,
and step back a bit if you have to. I would rather take a bit longer to
explain something that needs to be addressed in a kind way, than to say
something that can emotionally harm someone.
- At home, we need to explain what we require in our home / space, if others
come to share it. I have a habit of seeing something happen, and ignoring
it as I do not want to ruffle any feathers but the resentment grows on the
inside. I finally got the message, that when something happens, address it
immediately but with compassion and explain why a change is needed.
As my friend says: “Communication is an art”. It is and communication is
something almost everyone needs to work on. Take your time, whether you are
a business owner, employee, supervisor, parent, child, etc. We all need to
respect each others space and when we do, we help each other out by doing
our part, respecting each others space and providing a peaceful atmosphere
for everyone, even when we get mad. Speak from the heart and not from ego.
We live and work together, a happy and safe community brings more productive
results and stronger friendships. No matter what our role is: we deserve to
be treated with respect, just as we are responsible for treating others with
the same respect.

Cranio Sacral Therapy was developed by John Upledger, based in the United
States. He discovered a gentle form of healing, working with the pulse of
the Cranio System to release blocks that have occurred from physical and
emotional stress and trauma.
Experiencing Cranio Sacral Therapy explained with a Medical View:
Cranial sacral therapy is administered through monitoring the rhythm of the
cerebrospinal fluid's flow through the system. Cranial sacral therapy
practitioners work to balance the life force energy within the body.
Because the movable skull, sacrum and coccyx are attached to membranes
encompassing the cerebrospinal fluid, experienced clinicians can detect any
motion. Light, hands-on touch assists hydraulic forces (natural to the
cranial sacral system) to improve the body's internal atmosphere; thus,
strengthening its ability to heal itself. The brain sends messages down the
spinal column to the sacrum and to the tip of the coccyx. Signals are then
rerouted to all parts of the body through nerves departing the spinal
column.
By freeing tension from the spinal cord, the cerebral spinal flows more
freely. Cranial sacral therapy optimizes rhythm of the spinal fluid and
influences the whole body. It is relaxing, safe and effective; and cranial
sacral therapy may heal or alleviate numerous conditions including
migraines, chronic fatigue, motor coordination impairments, stress and
tension, TMJ, and orthopedic problems.
Experiencing Cranio Sacral Therapy explained by the client:
client 1:
After several years of
migraines a 38 yr old female started
Cranio Sacral Therapy treatments,
after a couple of treatments the migraines ending along with the
understanding of how they started in the first place.
client 2:
A young boy in the States, near the Upledger Centre,
was suffering from constant migraines, after the first session, the
migraines decreased substantially and stopped after a couple more. His
Dural fluid in the spinal chord was not flowing properly and the cranio
rhythm was off.
client 3: A young adult was wearing braces to straighten her
teeth and jaw line. After some of the adjustments, she would receive a
session of
Cranio Sacral Therapy, and after the last one, she went once again.
The are documented studies on how wearing teeth braces have caused the spine
to twist and create back problems. Cranio Sacral Therapy allows the
body to adjust in a safe manner along with allowing the braces to do their
job.
client 4: This client had been
experiencing many years of fears and discomfort in the legs. Twitching
in the legs at night, so bad that she had a hard time getting to sleep.
A couple of sessions ending the twitching along with releasing the
originating fears.
Our bodies retain the memories of how our structure was created, we are able
to release the traumas and or adjustments that occur during injuries and
such. With CranioSacral Therapy, we can do this with a light touch and
allow the body to readjust without a lot of discomfort.
The above information was gathering from
the text book and the web site.

About twelve years ago, the thought of using crystals and
crystal bowls for healing was just weird. After a few years of seeing what
these amazing healing objects can do, my tune changed in a huge way.
Every thing on this planet has a vibrational energy: plants,
food, wood, cement, water, and more. Each vibrates at a different level.
Many elements have healing properties, whether ingested, inhaled, or
carried.
Crystals and minerals have their own vibrational energy that can
connect with our own energy to provide the healing that our bodies require.
Each crystal has its own healing energies and can at times target specific
issues or discomforts. Some of us don’t seem to feel anything with the
crystals, yet as our belief grows and intuition grows stronger, you will
feel a lot more with each crystal. There are some crystals and crystal
bowls who’s vibrational energy can be too strong for us and we are not ready
to work with them. Yet others we are attracted to and feel really good
with.
A huge benefit of working with crystals and crystal bowls is
that we can clean and clear them of old energies and reuse them over and
over again. Carry them, transport them over long distances, and used them
for animals to humans of all ages. Crystals can help to raise your own
vibration level to help you overcome low energy states such as depression
and worry.
A friend, Natalie introduced me to crystal bowls and their
healing properties. While working with one I could feel the vibration go
right along me spine and through my whole body. Could also felt the
vibration from the bowl, holding my hand about an inch or two away, along
with feeling the electrical like energy it produced. I was hooked. Her CD
with the crystal bowls (and other instruments incorporated) provides a
different healing session each time. Another friend, Jeff, introduced me to
the crystal skulls. The energy from one of the skulls left me on cloud nine
for that afternoon. I provide crystal healing classes, and to hear and see
what the participants are picking up from the crystals is amazing.
During a presentation on crystal healing, one lady was quit
curious about the crystals and wanted to hear more. I passed around a few
of them, one being the amethyst. After relating a story on how I started to
feel the energy shifts while working with the amethyst, she tried the same
thing. Towards the end of the presentation, she shared with us how the
crystal helped to get rid of a really sore discomfort in her shoulder that
she was on medication for. The medication never worked as well as the
crystal did at that time.
A pink quartz wand provided by our friend Jennifer, helped my
granddaughter to sleep better at night. She did not toss and turn all night
and was better rested in the morning. Magnetic jewelry can help to dispel
discomforts in many ways, from arthritis to sore backs. Amber is excellent
in a necklace for little ones that are teething. Flourite and Kyanite both
can help to clear all your chakras.
Uses for crystals: Jewelary, ornamental, for healing wands, to hold on to,
energy grids and even to place under your pillow at night. Take the time to
look at the rocks, minerals and crystals in the stores. See how you feel
when you hold them. Good, yucky, calming, healing or excited? Enjoy one of
earths amazing treasures.

Environmental Safety in Our Workplace and Home
This articles idea has come from past and present experiences:
Over the years, while working at various businesses, I became
environmentally sensitive to a lot of toxins that are being introduced into
our environment. As I briefly watched the news on birds falling from the
sky, one wonders when we will learn to be cautious about what we are
introducing into our environment.
Some of my personal healing has had to do with toxins and most of them from
the companies that I worked for. During one job as office manager for a
hardwood flooring business, a lot of research was done from toxins in your
home and business to learning how to heal the body. Also during this time I
was able to learn to work safely in the hardwood flooring industry along
with being able to share information to home owners.
During my journey to Australia I realized why emphysema was prevalent in my
family on my fathers’ side, along seeing this with some of my clients.
Black mold and other toxins that are being left unattended or ignored due to
the lack of education, and this has greatly affected the health of many. As
I saw young people work in the underground train tunnels in Sydney, where
the smell of the musty mold was really strong, you wonder about their health
and wellbeing. Here in Canada we have our employees working in old
buildings and schools with mold. What are we placing into our work
environment that is causing either sickness or emotional disruption? What
changes are we not making because we believe it is too costly to do so?
What are we doing to our earth to extract minerals (gold), coal for export,
spraying for crops, throwing out into the garbage tons of paper and
cardboard, what are we placing into our water system and more. Yes, we have
all heard this before, yet it still needs to be addressed over and over till
we get it.
Start with listening to your body and monitoring your emotional well being.
What changes is your body experiencing? Have you shared this with others in
the work place? What has been done to make the changes?
Are you too scared to leave your job for a safer one? When we go to work to
help a company increase their profits and do what we are trained to do, are
we Safe? Are we getting the good wages in exchange of our health?
A job that I had in the summer under went a huge renovation and along with
the stress of the move with the paint fumes (even the latex), to the drywall
dust and more, my body reacted harshly. There is a remediation site in town
supposedly safely removing the creosote from the earth (sure could smell it
when it was warm out) effected the quality of my daily walks. Even after
talking with those working for this site, I realized people learn to say
what they are being told to say and accept what they are being told.
Another job, one of the owners place insulation in the air vents and I got
a lump in my throat that caused breathing problems for several months.
So please, as we ask others to share our space as an employee, employer,
friend or family: think twice before you use something that could lead to a
toxic reaction. Take the time to remove what is in the home or office
area. We all depend on each other to provide a safe environment, whether we
are human or animal. Our top profit line does not give us the right to harm
another living being.

Essential Oils
& Aroma Therapy
Essential Oils are amazing to work with. From all the different fresh and
relaxing scents to all the different healing properties.
Essential oils have been used since the beginning of time, whether using
oils in teas to oils or in healing ointments. Oils are derived from fruits,
flowers and herbs. Rose oil as a rose water, or many of us remember
grandmothers lavender perfume or soaps, eucalyptus oils for the chest,
oregano oils to ward off colds and flus and calendula oils for healing
wounds and more. We have many more oils to work with now and many
different combinations that we can use on a daily basis.
The clean oils should have no chemicals and have not been cut or diluted,
have been extracted from the plant and not mechanically reproduced.
Essential oils are known as ethereal oils or volatile oils and they are the
essence of the plant that they came from. Most oils are either extracted
by the process of distillation or solvent extraction.
Oils that are extracted (place into a alembic over water, the heated
water causes the plant material to vapourize and the oils (vapours) flow
through a coil where they cool off and become a liquid that is collected.
This kind of process produces water products such as rose water or orange
blossom water.
Oils such as citrus oils are cold pressed or mechanically
expressed. Your citrus oils are excellent anti bacterial oils and are
wonderful to use for cleaning the house with. They leave a nice scent in
the home without leaving chemicals in the air (like air fresheners that can
cause nerological damage to the body).
Oils, such as many of the flower oils are extracted by using ethyl alcohol.
But with this method there is a second process to extract the ethyl alcohol
to leave behind the absolute (oils.)
Today we are using the essential oils for relaxation techniques, massage
therapy, aromatherapy, in cooking, incense, perfumes, soaps, cleaning
products, air fresheners, physical and emotional healing, bug repellant,
hair lice and different combinations to provide healing. Instead of buying
a perfume, purchase an essential oil, not only with it provide healing
properties, they smell a lot better and don’t pollute the air.

Feng Shui is an ancient Chinese system of bringing balance into your
environment: the heavens and earth together to bring in prosperity into ones
life. Feng Shui = wind water.
Feng Shui is a technique of placing certain objects in and out of the home
or business to bring in prosperity and good energies. It would also include
clearing the space of old energies, broken furniture, and clutter. From
using crystals, clocks, aquariums, colors and water fountains, the purpose
is to increase the energy in your home or business.
Ex: Crystals are used to increase the energies as they have natural healing
properties. Rose quartz would be in the bathroom or bedroom to keep the
romance and love in the relationship. Tourmaline is used for protection,
and hemitite for grounding, and citrine for self healing.
Fountains are outside and inside a business to bring in prosperity. There
are rules such as: a fountain in the southeast corner of your home or
business brings prosperity and balance, but do not place the fountain in a
bedroom as that will bring in worry. Then to add crystals and essential
oils to the fountains will increase that particular energy even more. A
fountain in the north will help with career and path, the fountain in the

Colors: for career the use of red, orange, pink, strong yellow and purple.
My daughter use red ribbons tied to crystals that were hung in the reception
area. For stability: light yellow and earthy beige colors. For mental
clarity: the use of grey and white. For freshness and abundance: blue and
black. For health and vitality: brown and green.
Take a look at each of your rooms and see what the color combinations are
promoting. Do you have browns and greens in the bedroom: for health and
vitality while you sleep. Or is it more in your main living area, where you
spend most of your time?
I did not particularly see the mention of clutter in the articles that I
read. But I truly believe that clutter represents a caotic personality, not
focused and unable to bring stability to ones life. Look at the area that
you live in or work in. Does it show an organized yet work in progress? Or
does it show that one just does not care? I find that when one enters a
business, you can see how much attention has been put into the surroundings
and using a Feng Shui method would be very beneficial.
And please do remember: even if you have prepared your business and home
with Feng Shui techniques, you must also apply it to your life. I have seen
two businesses that are set up in a prosperous setting, yet the owners have
not learnt proper communication skills with their employees and customers.
They both go hand in hand.

Health Care
Products & Health Foods
This is
a topic that could be discussed for days and there will always be a new
chapter to the discussion.
Over the
years, we have gotten away from some of the many toxic things that were
being used, but along with that, we lost a lot of the old teachings that our
grandparents shared concerning our health.
We can
now say more about why many people have allergies and how to provide a
healthier life for the allergy sensitive person. Where as, years ago, one
may have been deemed as the frail one or sickly child with no options. The
stories from the grandparents on how cinnamon and cloves work for
toothaches. Or hot compresses to steam out the sickness by getting the body
to sweat out the toxins.
We don’t
have the old herbalist that travels for miles selling herbs and concoctions
(of which some worked very well, others????). But we do have many that are
selling, manufacturing and supplying products that we can use and not get
scared about having severe reactions. Years of research, testing and being
organic minded has created a much safer world for us. These suppliers are
here to help improve our lives: physically, emotionally, mentally and
spiritually. When one is able to buy glutton free bread, or herbal based
products with no chemicals to enhance the scents, ones world is a lot
brighter.
There
are companies that supply so called environmental products that are safe:
beware, do your research and do a research on the ingredients. Then go to
your local health food store and see the difference. For me to find an
oatmeal based lotion or a lotion who’s scent does not give me a headache,
and a lot of research. The products we use externally are just as important
as what we use internally. Our food and health products both effect our
bodies on the inside and outside.
For one
that is glutton intolerant: when eating wheat the skin may become dry and
flaky as the glutton is a toxin to the liver and the skin is showing the
effects. A product that is used outside of the body: ex: a hand lotion with
a chemical based scent is absorbed into the skin, affecting the liver, and
can produce migraines from the smell. (Another topic that can go on for
years.)
Our
community based companies are providing us with many products: food and
health care products that can help us maintain a healthier life style. We
can purchase products that list healthier ingredients, omitting the toxic
ones, using fewer preservatives, and providing us with studies and written
information.
And
these products will add to our body by healing with the food or healing with
the product that is safe to use. Glutton free breads, MSG free products,
foods that nourish and feed the body with better nutritional values and
products that are not heavily based with sugars.

With
the use of rocks that have a high heat retention, you can receive an amazing
healing session in conjunction with massage therapy and / or energy work.
The rocks that are used vary from lava rock (basalt rock) to a river rock
that is chosen for its size and shape. These stones can be preordered by
the therapist or selected specifically from a river bed to met specified
sizes and shapes. The stones need to be fairly flat and smooth.
When
the rocks are heated, they are place in a hot water bath and a certain
temperature (120 to 150 degrees) is obtained before they are used. These
hot stone rocks are then placed on the back of the client upper body. These
can also be placed in the palms of the hands and between the toes. As the
stones cool, warmer ones are put into place. In some cases cold stones may
be used for inflammation or any muscle injuries.
The
heat in the rocks act like a heat pad, they help the muscles in the back
area to relax. The heat has the ability to transform rigid stiff muscles
back to their flexible state that also provides warmth and relaxation. With
massage therapy, this can aid in providing a deeper tissue massage with less
effort by the practitioner. Hot Stone therapy can be provided with out the
massage and other types of energy work, and with aromatherapy. This all
depends on the preference of the client and therapist.
It
is said that the warm stones expand the blood vessels and allow the blood to
help release toxins. Ex: when heat or energy is applied to an injured area
right away, there is less bruising (like with the use of Reiki or energy
work). Yet, when the cold is applied the blood vessels are constricted and
draw out the toxins. (Though in Chinese Medicine, I have heard that cold is
never applied in healing. Ex: After a mother gives birth, she always
receives warm tea, never cold water and ice.) The application of hot / cold
depends on the practitioner.
Hot
Stone Therapy has been used in the following treatments: to improve
circulation, back pain and sore muscles, MS, Fibromyalgia, for depression,
arthritis and rheumatic conditions, stress and anxiety.

Emotions, Eating and Weight Release
Why
is "losing weight" so very difficult for most people to do? Overeating
often has become a “coping” method for many of my clients. From an early age
most of us are handed food in an attempt to get us to be quiet, go away, or
simply just make us feel better after falling off our bike!!
Is
it any wonder that we reach for “comfort foods”` as adults? Rather then
tuning into and managing uncomfortable emotions, we have learned to stuff
them down even deeper…with food.
Often we have become so out of sync with our bodies and our emotions that we
cannot even tell the difference between real physiological hunger and
emotional hunger. The more we eat, the worse we feel. Seeking a momentary
feeling of satisfaction we reach for the comfort food once again. What a
vicious cycle!
Hypnotherapy tackles the root cause of overeating. The majority of my weight
release clients are women. Usually they come seeking answers as to why their
bodies are holding onto the weight. They are doing EVERYTHING right. They
can write a book on healthy food choices. Most exercise regularly and most
have regular medical check ups. But still, the weight stays on!
When
these women learn to relax their bodies and quiet the internal chatter they
begin to tune into their inner wisdom. The subconscious mind always tells us
what we need to know. We simply need to learn how to create the right
environment and learn how to listen. Typical good communication skills!
Often we find that unresolved concerns are feeding into the weight issue.
Shame, old emotional scars, a history of negative self talk and fears of
abandonment often go back to childhood. Unresolved issues can manifest in a
lack of comfort with body image, an inability to sooth the self and a
disassociation from the sexual self.
Through the use of hypnotherapy most clients begin a journey of self
discovery which results in uncovering unhealthy sabotaging behaviors,
thoughts and beliefs and replacing them with positive result oriented
behaviors, thoughts and beliefs.
Within the supportive, collaborative environment of hypnotherapy, you can
begin to heal unresolved emotional issues and connect with your inner
wisdom. Hidden under those issues are wonderful innate talents and natural
abilities; they have been just been covered up by a whole lot of `stuff. All
those wonderful bits and pieces of you that have been stuffed down can begin
to emerge.
Managing cravings and developing a taste for healthy foods becomes much
easier when emotional eating has been addressed. Learning to communicate
effectively with your subconscious and tuning into your inner wisdom will
allow you to make choices and behave in ways that will naturally move your
body towards its perfect healthy weight.

Ion
Cleanses – Foot Baths
Ion cleanses helps the body to detoxify through
the bottom of the feet. It helps to draw out the harmful build up of
toxins, heavy metals, candida, etc.
Reflexology has been used for a long time and the process allows
detoxification through the feet along with increasing the oxygen flow to
the organs in the body. The Ion Cleanses or foot baths, provides a way for
the body to release the toxins out of the body, through the feet, along with
helping the body to heal too. Though it is known that our liver, skin,
bowels, lungs and kidneys are the main source to release toxins, our feet
have over 20 pores and can release a lot of toxins in 20 – 30 minutes.
My first experience to see this happen, was instant belief.
When you see the water, clear and clean, turn dark with oily brown, black
and green bubbles. Flecks of white in the water, and the water looks like
sewage. Not a pretty picture, yet you can see what we can caring with us.
Then when you sit beside someone and do the foot bath at the same time
(difference basins and same source of water), and you see the difference in
the water afterwards, you know something pretty amazing is going on.
I have seen several foot baths, and the higher end ones have the copper /
brass color pots for the feet and the machines sit on a table top. I have
seen the foot bathes where the operator is using a battery post hook up and
those look intimidating and not as effective. The electromagnetic currant
created by the foot bath is to equal the electromagnetic force of the body.
There are cautions out there that if you are pregnant, have a
pacemaker, on blood thinners or epileptic, you may want to avoid the foot
bath.
Benefits of the foot baths are substantial. Through out our
lives, we are faced with toxins in our environment at home, play, school and
work. We are given vaccinations with mercury and other chemicals.
pesticides on our food, and I could go on forever. When the foot baths
start to release these toxins out of our system, our physical health changes
for the better. From lessening headaches, arthritis, MS symptoms, back
pain, allergies, in some cases stiff bodies and more.
If you have more to add to this, please let me know, always on a
learning curve.

Meditation can be created in so many ways, at time of the day and for so
many purposes.
To Quiet the mind:
meditation can be done by either a guided format or be just being still
and peaceful. When the meditation is guided, it helps us to slow down
our mind chatter, specially when we have the overactive thinking
patterns. Sometimes the thoughts are analytical and always thinking
ahead of what we feel needs to be done. Or the thoughts are random,
hopping from one thought to the other so fast that we have a tough time
concentrating. No matter how we are, the guided meditation can help us
to concentrate on just one thing and we can train our selves to be more
present and focus just on the action that is required at that moment.
If other thoughts try to sneak in, we can briefly look at it and see it
just go. If the meditation is a quiet one, again, allowing the thoughts
just go by and not dwelling on them or getting into a story of what
if….
To Heal the Body:
met an amazing lady today that does a visualization technique that helps
the body to heal emotionally that leads to physical and spiritual
healing (my words or understanding of what she does). The
results that she has seen have been very powerful for the participants.
Her gentle soul and presence allows the participants to feel comfortable
and the visualization techniques are easy to obtain.
To Find Answers:
meditations can be done by going on a walk away from a situation, away
from the computer or home, and even away from the work place. To
allow the body and mind relax by getting in touch with the sound of the
birds, the rush of the river or meeting a friend for a chat. When
we take our selves away from the stressful situations our
answers can come in so much faster and with a bigger understanding of
how we got in our own way. When our mind enters that over analytical
space, we create blocks. When we allow that frustration to go and ask
God or Spirit or our higher support system to help out, the solutions
are right there. (Many times when we get blocks, we are trying to
control the outcome instead of going with the flow and working with new
ideas that are more fitting for the time.)
Meditation allows our bodies to relax, blocks to release, healing to
start and allows us open to a higher source of energy and information.
On a personal level for myself a guided meditation brought in power
animals, quiet meditations brought in messages for the day, meditations
that showed me a vision of the future and how I could release some
blocks around thinking patterns. Each day is started with a meditation
listening to a crystal bowl CD (by Natalie Fortier) and just
concentrating watching the flame on a candle. Usually each day I go for
a walk, I may have an errand to run, but I enjoy the nature of the town
and listen to the birds or squirrel and see what the sky has to offer
for clouds. Each evening I listen to the radio, mixture of music, but
this is more meditative or relaxing that having the TV on.
I love to meditate with a small group as the share sense of well being
is beautiful, but also have learnt to create a higher energy and calming
environment around myself in meditation that I don’t have to rely on
someone else to provide that. So both situations are very healing and
enjoyable. Just go within, no matter where you are and tap into your
source of higher well being, then you will see, we all are connected,
but also capable of creating that meditative space. Group meditations,
solo, on a walk, by the ocean or river, inside, outside… just be silent
– thoughtless and peaceful.

The healing vibrations of music
I remember hearing crystal bowls for the first time at a booth that Natalie
Fortier had at the expo. The vibration and tone was music to the soul. Her
CD of bowls, drums and more, not only is amazing music, the meditation and
healing is different each time I hear it. I feel the vibrations from the
heart and on up.
About the same time I got to experience drumming with Judy Atkinson of
Circles of Rhythm when she was in Cochrane Alberta. The vibration from the
drums was like living another life time and being so connected to the earth
and the universe. You could feel the vibration in the floor of the building
and could picture the sound vibrating through out the city spreading joy.
Judy got me hooked to going to drumming circles and the community of music.
David Hickey woke up my world to the Tibetan gongs, crystal bowls and more.
A musician who is a conduit of amazing sounds and vibrations. Floating
through the universe, in other lands. The vibration opening the heart
chakra and all the ones above. He takes you on a journey……………..
Shine Edgar playing the didgeridoo, like being opened up to the earth and
animal vibrations. He talks with the Didgeridoo and you would swear that
there were birds in the room, or you were in the wild talking with the
ancestors and the animal kingdom. I felt the vibration of the music from
the solar plexus down. The connection with earth and the ancestors was so
strong. Knowing of a life from centuries ago.
In one evening having the pleasure and honor to having Judy Atkinson, Shine
Edgar, David Hickey and many more musicians at the same event, not only
brought so much joy to see, but the healing that was created by the Healing
Mondala for Mother Earth occurred within my self and I know many other
people there. From voices that sounded like angels and the harp, the gongs,
the didgeridoo I was very grounded and yet so connected to heaven. To see
and hear the musicians so well orchestrated to playing and sharing of music
all together was amazing.
Music has been a part of our lives since the beginning of time. The sound
and vibration of rain hitting the ground, the twitter of birds, the beat of
the drum, our own heart beats, the sound of the wind blowing through the
leaves, it is all music. To me, the Tibetan bowls sound like what a space
ship would sound like, the sound and vibration feels familiar, soothing, yet
can activate the whole body into waking up. When we waken our senses, we
are renewing our essence of life. To dance, to sing, to hum, to play an
instrument can be so much joy when we are ready to receive the joy of
music.
There are many CD’s on the market that provide very powerful healing music.
Try a CD with music with the didgeridoo, or just a harp, or the native drum
beat. Each music can provide healing, yet on different levels. I am so
grateful to have so many choices today.

Numerology
Over the last few years, numbers and the meaning of numerology has become an
important part of my life. Here is what I can share on numerology and maybe
you may get as excited about what you see too. “Angel Numbers” by
Doreen Virtue and “The Life You were Born to Live” by Dan Millman are the
two books that have helped out a lot. Angel Numbers is excellent for
looking up numbers that you see all the time. For example, many get drawn
to the number 111 and some wonder why.
111:
(page 47 Angel Numbers) “An energetic gateway has opened for you, rapidly
manifesting your thoughts into reality. Choose your thoughts wisely at this
time, ensuring that they match your desires. Don’t put any energy into
thinking about fears at all, lest you manifest them.” (I just realized,
while reading this again, on how I get side tracked with my goals and dreams
and need to reword what I would like to see).
When we see this number, we can stop and ask ourselves what we would like to
create in our lives. I take these moments to review what I am working on
and also to say thank you for what is going on. I may be in the middle of
getting ready to do a treatment, or go tobagoning with the grandkids and be
drawn to look at the clock, see the 111 and that I am so grateful to be able
to do what my heart loves to do.
7’s, 7th year: here is a couple of
definitions:
7's
open up to a point of faith in themselves and others: Trust and
Openness
7 Thought / consciousness.
Birth numbers are very important to understanding who you are
and what your life has been about. When the book by Dan Millman showed up 2
years ago as a gift, I was amazed at how the birth numbers really explained
how we are. Sure we have our choices, of which the book explains. When
each of my family members number was calculated, the number definitions
read, there is no coincidence. Each member and their number was so true of
who they are.
Example:
one of the grandkids: September 13 2001 09 13 2001 add them up:
0+9+1+3+2+0+0+1= 16 1+ 6= 7
life number is 16/7 or 7
When I add mine up I get: 25 /7
7: Trust and Openness From Dan Millmans book “Individuals working 7 as
their life purpose are here to trust the light or spirit within them, in
others, and in the process of their lives so that they feel safe enough to
open up and share their inner beauty with the world.”
After reading this and the rest of the section, I realized that
I am not alone in how I see life and the challenges I have had, relate to
being a 7. I don’t believe in labels, or anything like that, but when there
is an explanation as what I read, this book has become a must to read for
those who are wondering what they are missing, or how their lives go as they
do. And we do have choices. No matter who we are, where we are and how we
live our life styles.
When you see a number, or number sequence showing up all the time, look into
it and see what the universe is trying to show you. Either affirmation that
you are on the right track, or suggestion of what you can do to get on the
right track for you and your personal life.
For the fun of it, I just looked up the symbolism behind the date that the
directory was registered:
Cochrane & Area Wholistic Community was registered: March 30
2006 3+3+0+2+0+0+6= 14/5
5’s: “Those on the life path are here to work through issues related to
independence, stability, and creative energy, finally achieving freedom by
surrendering to the discipline of a step by step process toward chosen
goals.” Seems weird to put a number to a business, but when I just read
this, is it not true?
The directory and newsletters bring us friends, practitioners, health
information and alternatives so that we can achieve our goals: physically,
mentally, emotionally and spiritually. When we get started into this
wonderful journey, it does take steps. One day at a time, lesson by lesson,
and experiences to know that we have the power to change our lives.
Again, Thank You for being part of this journey with us, where it be
numerically, spiritually, as a practitioner, supplier, instructor or
friend. We all are part of the bigger picture.
Blessings,
Kim Buckler

Organics, Energy work and the impact of Both in Our Lives
Was
juggling writing about energy work or organics, while receiving many emails
on providing energy work for the waters of Japan. This month we will
concentrate on both topics and the overall impact on our health and well
being.
Organics or Naturally Grown Products vs. Chemicals:
a
lot of us already know the difference, yet how many times do we turn our
head when we feel a bit tired to walk that extra step or provide the extra
dollar to purchase something that is healthier. During a conversation last
night it was raised that we as consumers, many years ago, thought it was
good to purchase products from medications, anti-presperants, perfumes,
colognes, air fresheners to fast foods.
Then, we were uneducated and did not have the access to the
research and internet. Information was being with held, not shared and we
got sicker as we filled our bodies with more and more chemicals.
Now we
have the information and the power to make the changes. The more
we say no to purchasing those harmful products that companies are trying to
up-sell, the less they make and hopefully will pull those products off of
the shelves.
The
last bag of apples I bought, not organic, had a thin layer of preservative
on it and it took awhile to clean it off. Had a client yesterday that
complained of allergies while she wore a perfume that made me headachy.
Then we get the thought: we have a family to feed, we can not buy all
organic, nor can I. But when we make that conscious effort to make the
changes in our homes, whether by purchasing organics or using healthier
alternatives we are changing the impact on our health and well being. We
can take all the steps that are available to us monetarily and use the
information with the internet and environmentally aware websites to further
our well being.
Organics or Naturally Grown Products provide our bodies with the nutrients
and energy we need to grow and maintain our health. When the chemically
based fertilizers and pesticides are used to promote growth and bigger crops
/ gasoline for travel / preservatives to keep the produce well over the
miles travel and from fall to spring: we are polluting not only Mother Earth
but also our bodies. Sure studies will say that chemicals don’t alter the
nutrients, but those chemicals are absorbed by our bodies and we are needing
to consume more antioxidants to clean our bodies and even more if those
antioxidant rich foods are filled with chemicals.
My
last thought, for now, on this is to do some research and see who can
provide us with more healthier food sources like Market Gardens or local
foods stores who grow or supply organics or naturally grown produce within a
100 miles of your home and shop collectively with friends. What of these
products can you preserve or freeze for the rest of the year till the next
crop. What can you grow in your own home, yard, balcony, or acreage to
provide for your family and friends. Do you have an apple tree that
produces too many apples that you have not sprayed? Have many apples pies,
jams, jellies or apple sauces can you make for the winter. As we
consciously make these healthier choices, we nourish our bodies (which are
our personal temples), nourish the animal kingdom with better food to eat,
along with the land, water and air. Take Care and Eat Well.
Energy: this
will be a wee bit shorter as when we look after the above by going organic
or using natural products, the energy of our bodies and well being is
increased. Oh yes, we can do energy work to our food, land and water, but
we need to find better resources to change the energy of man kind, our
animals, the air, water and land.
Many
of us reading this newsletter are either energy workers, have experienced it
or even know the energy we can share with a love filled hug. This energy
that we are becoming more aware of, is everywhere around us. When we fill
our bodies and minds with unhealthy environment (food dyes, air pollutants,
medications) and thoughts (anger, fear, and sadness), the effect is the same
as what is happening in our sister countries around the world. The energy
is heavy and unhealthy. All of a sudden, something will happen that will
shake us up so much it has a tremor effect on us and creates a ripple
effect. Ex: during the 1990’s I was exposed to a lot of chemicals from my
home to where I worked. I got many headaches then bad migraines. My body
started to react then it became really painful trying to detox. It was my
introduction to energy work, healthier environments and being here today.
With using energy to help shift thinking patterns, releasing blocks, healing
of organs, my body slowly got healthier and happier.
We
all are able to create a better environment by the energy that we bring into
it. During meditation I try to remember to share or create the energy for
those around me, my home, town, country, the land, air, water and animals.
As I am typing this thousands are getting ready to do collective energy work
for Japan and the waters. We can at any time with good intention, send
energy and healing prayers any where in the world to help raise the
vibrations and provide healing for all. Please don’t forget the animal
kingdom, as they are also feeling the chaos of the changing weather
patterns, oil spills, nuclear plants and pesticides. WE ARE ONE……. Clean
Food, Good Energy provides a Healthier world for all its
inhabitants…..

Past life regression has been found to be a very effective way to unlock
many of the phobias that we hang on to. I started to read a book
called: Many Lives - Many Masters by: Brian L Weiss. A psychologist had
a patient referred to him, after many sessions by other doctors that
could not unveil what was troubling a young lady - who was scared to
leave her home, along with many other issues that made her life
extremely troublesome. This psychologist was guided to do hypnotherapy
and past life regression. It was not long before they both saw the
results.
Past
life regression is done under the control of the client, as the client is
fully awake, yet extremely relaxed. The thoughts, visions, feelings and
understanding is very strong during a regression. When I did mine, I saw
little but had the knowing of what was going on. Was able to vaguely
picture a place that I was in many lives ago, and the message I got was
strong. Clients see vivid pictures of other places, smells and feelings of
being else where, the era and many times of others around.
Thought patterns can be revealed and the belief behind the patterns can be
released or undone. These changes can be done instantaneously, and the
emotions related to the old belief or thought, completely gone. We can
also find out that we are now safe, and do not have to relive a past life,
this life can be created to be ore peaceful.
After my past life regression I understood why I hid my instincts and felt
uncomfortable sharing the information I received. A past belief about
having to protect my self. We are safe today to be natural practitioners
and share universal truth (which holds no ego or fear).
A past life regression helped to release one client from a repeated feeling
of anguish, after she saw what it was related to. Another saw the pattern
of space, being alone, yet very content. Another client was brought to a
time in this life time to see the release of the built up anger that he was
holding on to and realized the real source of the emotional upheaval.
Re-seeing the action can help us to let it go when we realize that the
thought of the person / place has no significance any more, even though we
are holding onto an old thought pattern of feeling.
Hypnosis and Past Life Regression can help our mind to relax enough to go
back and see old images, times, places, people, smells, feelings, happiness,
fears, sorrow and more. We can hold onto the happy moments and enjoy what
it brought. We can release the patterns that bring our life to a stand
still, so that we can go forward with comfort.
We can learn to do instantaneous pattern releases and move forward with
ease. The feelings of the old thoughts are totally gone and the feelings
of starting new is strong and exciting.

Readings: Psychic, Cards, Tarot, Mayan Runes, Tea Leaves
We
all share what we see, hear, and feel all the time. When we become
connected to more than one person, source or space, we can receive so much
more information as the energy is different and when we share how we are
feeling with the energy or the picture we are receiving, we are sharing
psychic / spiritual / earth information.
Readings are provided in so many ways. Talking, listening, watching,
doing, drawing, singing, cards….
Readings are a form of healing. They can help us to release emotions that
we are holding on to, to strengthen how we view our lives, and for
affirmations - which can bring a huge sense of peace. Psychics provide
readings in so many ways. Whether you use cards, runes, tea leaves, crystal
balls or crystals, we use something that speaks to us.
Readings and energy work are similar: they are both a sharing of healing
verbally (one more than the other) and both can have energy work
incorporated. When an energy practitioner shares with a client what they
picked up during the treatment, many times the information comes psychically
or it could just be the knowing. Or even to empathically feel what the
client is experiencing: is doing a reading on the physical and emotional
state of the person.
When
I do a reading, I can emotionally and physically feel things from the person
that I am reading from. But only things that need to be shared. And many
times information is limited, as I believe if there is something personal,
that is not for me to know or share. During the readings, I may get a
strong sense of discomfort, hear a huge no to a question, or to smell
something that is connected to the client in some way (perfume,
detergent…). Numbers, strong emotional feelings, to know what the client’s
child is feeling, see a vision and more. And I do admit, there are times
when I get no answer or just don’t see it happening, and I will say, I don’t
see anything on that.
What
is important for us to remember is that we can do what we want with
information from a reading. Did we listen to what the reader was saying?
Did we twist the words to fit what we wanted to hear? Or can we use that
information as an affirmation, or is it something we can use to make
changes. We can use the information as a better understanding of what is
going on with someone else or even ourselves and help us to go forward.
During many readings I know there can be energy / healing work happening. I
can feel the shift of emotions, blocks, stress and more. We are all able
to share and help each other by using universal / psychic information, just
the same as the ole gut feeling that you get as a warning. A reader can see
the amazing person you are. They see your potential, and help you to learn
to love life again.
No
matter what treatment I use for a client, it is universally guide energy
healing with universal / psychic knowledge to help. When we stay out of
ego, and working with unconditional love we help to provide a more peaceful
world. No reader is the same. We all have areas
that we are stronger with and it takes practice and skill to know how to
share verbal information with out ego and for the highest purpose of the
receiver. I find that a reading can be just as powerful as a full energy
treatment.

Reconnective Healing: Where’s the Proof?
We’re all searching for answers, to one degree or
another. Who are we in this great big universe? What is out there? How
does it all fit together? How do we make sense of the bad things that
happen on earth? What were we before we were born and what
do we become after we die? We will never really know for sure in this
life. Our knowledge and perceptions of the ‘other side’, or the
‘master plan’ seem to come to us in fragments through darkened glass,
via glimpses of intuition, and feelings of recognition when
we hear or read things that ring true for us.
And maybe that’s the way it’s meant to be. As Kryon
says, “if you could see your full soul, and know what was on the other
side of the veil, then there would be no need for your lesson here… then
we (the Universe) would ‘turn on the lights’ and you would
all go home! Class dismissed.” [www.kryon.com]
For me the clearest proof of the existence of something
beyond ourselves has come in the form of Reconnective Healing.
There is no mistaking the strong, very palpable energy in my hands when
I am working with someone, in person or by distance
healing, and no mistaking the clearly visible responses that I have seen
in the person lying in front of me. I am not even touching
them and there is strong energy flowing through me and out of my hands
and causing a reaction in their bodies. Some responses a
person couldn’t intentionally replicate, such as rippling of the muscles
and tendons under the skin like when a finger is run across a
piano keyboard.
Now some leading
scientists have revealed their findings which have given me further
proof about the reality of this energy. Dr William Tiller, Emeritus Professor
of Materials Science at Stanford University and star of the recent What
the Bleep films, believes it is a new, higher level of energy -
magnetoelectric
energy which also contains an aspect of light. With Reconnective
Healing, he says, “many kinds of energy and light
are flowing through the healer … In other words, what we're talking
about is bringing it beyond
just what has been classically
known as energy healing into a broader spectrum of energy, light and
information.”
One of the experiments carried out by Dr Tiller and his
team took place at a Reconnective Healing training seminar in
Sedona last year. What they found was quite remarkable. The room
itself became conditioned for healing before the attendees
even came into the room - in scientific terms they measured a higher
gauge symmetry state than in normal reality. Two days later
at the end of the seminar, the effective energy content of the room was
huge. In more understandable terms, to give that same
excess energy content, a normal space would have required a temperature
increase of 300 degrees centigrade!
Dr Gary Schwarz is Director of Medicine at the
University of Arizona and author of several books on energy healing. He
conducted a series of controlled experiments into what happens when a
Reconnective Healer sends energy to a recipient. The
first test showed that blindfolded subjects could detect the energy up
to 83% of the time. The second showed that the energy
functions like an electromagnetic signal. The third showed that the
sender’s heart wave, measured by EKG, imprints itself on the
receiver’s brainwave, measured by EEG. “Most significant in this third
experiment,” Schwartz says, “is that whether or not the
receiver was consciously aware of the energy, the EKG imprinted just the
same, so there is unconscious energy detection that
can be recorded electromagnetically.”

Our feet are walked on every day, bare the weight of our bodies and get
stuff into shoes and other foot wear.
In order to treat and pamper our feet, foot reflexology is one of the most
relaxing, energizing and pampering forms of healing and
relaxing. This is done by gentle stimulation of different areas of the feet
(also hands and ears) to promote healing through the meridians
that connect to the body’s organs along with enhancing the elimination of
toxins.
FOOT REFLEXOLOGY: is an ancient art practiced by early Egyptians.
Foot Reflexology is a science founded on the basis that
areas of the feet are comprised of zones and reflex areas that correspond to
all glands, organs, and bodily systems. Foot reflexology is a technique whereby pressure is applied to these areas
resulting in stress reduction by using thumb, finger and hand methods. Using foot reflexology promotes
physiological improvements in the body. Foot Reflexology restores
natural balance and revitalization.
Reflexology will provide the following:
Improved
circulation:
Our circulation is improved when the stress in our systems is released and
we are able to relax. The
oxygen and nutrients in the blood is able to flow more freely and increase
the function of the cardiovascular vessels.
Release of
Toxins:
Since reflexology works with improving the health of the organs, it also
helps to release the toxins in the body
and increase the flow of oxygen and nutrients to the organs in distress.
Sometimes when working on the feet the practitioner and
client can feel crystals in the feet being broken up, which helps to release
those toxins. It is recommended that you do not drink
alcohol within 24 hours of a reflexology treatment: the client could get
quit sick during the session (a disbelieving client is now a
believer).
Reduces
stress and provides a deep relaxation:
Many times a client will fall asleep during a session, even the most chatty
person who has a hard time to relax. Over 7,000 nerves are stimulated
during a reflexology treatment, opening and clearing the
neural pathways. Each part of the body is worked with, reenergized and
feeling better after a good nights sleep. The energy is
the body starts to flow a lot freer and reaching area that have been
restricted before the treatment.
Healing with the clients has been seen in the following ways during
sessions:
1. One client has MS and is able to move her one leg a lot more freely
after a session. This client has also felt more peaceful
and an increased flow of energy.
2. One client had the feeling of walking on clouds after the session. Her
feet were her main form of transportation.
3. Another clients bowels functioned more freely.
4. A client who rarely stopped to do something for her self, chatted
constantly for the first little while then just fell right asleep,
and was totally refreshed afterwards.
Reading a section in “Feet First” by Laura Norman and Thomas Cowan,
reconfirmed exactly how I felt during reflexology treatments.
Even though I love practicing Reiki and other forms of healing, I find doing
a reflexology session the most relaxing of them all. I am
able to sit down and just get immersed into the treatment and smile as soon
as the client falls asleep.
Diagnosis with reflexology is forbidden, like many of the other wholistic
practices. If a practitioner feels that something may be
wrong, he / she can only recommend that the client get a check up from their
family doctor.
In summary: Reflexology is an amazing form of healing physically, mentally
and spiritually. It can help to sooth the tired over
worked feet and pamper the one that walks on those wonderful feet.

REIKI Rei (life) Ki
(energy)
Reiki
is a method of natural healing that was developed by Dr. Usui, who started a
clinic in Tokyo in 1921. DR. Usui provided treatments to patients, he then
started workshops and taught classes. Reiki is taught around the world
today.
How Reiki is applied : the hands of the Reiki practitioner is held on top or
above the body of the client. There is no pressure being applied to the
body to cause any pain or discomfort. This provides a transfer of universal
energy that sometimes feels like heat is being applied to the area being
worked on. This source of energy provides a very calming sensation, that
helps to relax your body and mind along with strengthening our spiritual
well being. The Reiki practitioner will be guided by you and intuition to
apply energy to different areas of the body from the head to feet. Reiki can
be applied to any living being or animal. Sessions lasts up to one hour or
longer.
REIKI
can provide:
Release of:
anxiety, stress, headaches, migraines, fears, anger, learning disabilities
and creative blocks.
Relaxation of:
muscle tension and skeletal stress.
Strengthening of:
self esteem, self worth, and self confidence.
Helps to lesson:
learning disabilities, and behavioral problems.
Reiki
is being used for people in hospitals, clinics, and in emergency situations
to promote the healing processes. When a patient is terminally ill, Reiki
is wonderful for decreasing the pain and releasing the tension. Reiki
promotes the healing process.
Some
of the reasons why clients have come for treatments:
Migraines:
This is one of the reasons that I got involved with energy healing.
Migraines can occur for several different reasons and be caused by unseen
events or circumstances. From receiving shots of demoral to being migraine
free today and not taking any headache medication was enough conviction to
learn more about natural healing and Reiki. We have used Reiki several
times for Migraines with the clients and very successfully.
Toxins:
One of my clients came in to see if Reiki could help with her health that
she believed was being affected by the work place that she was at. During
the treatment, there was a huge toxin release, and we were also provided
with information on where to look for the toxins. The client called back a
couple of weeks later, and explained how she went back to work and did find
the two sources of toxins. This client is continuing with her Reiki
training and is building up her strength.
Depression and low self
esteem:
This is felt by many of us, at one time or the other. A Reiki treatment can
provide a new sourse of energy and strength that I have seen in clients
several times. When a Reiki treatment is provided in a quiet atmosphere and
the practitioner has been trained to provide the gentle healing during a
treatment, a client receives a renewed sense of well being from the Reiki
that stimulants can not provide. Reiki helps to release the original source
of depression.
Personal inner development
and just general health maintenance:
Reiki has provided me with physical, emotional and spiritual growth and
strength. We can use Reiki to maintain our health and release any stress.
Using
Reiki with other forms of Training: I have used Reiki during Reflexology treatments and Card
Readings. Many massage therapists are combining Reiki and Cranio Sacral
Therapy with their treatments.

Soul Blending
The human soul has been described as an individual’s true soul
essence – the Divine Self that experiences the expansive universe beyond the
third dimension, incarnating the physical body to learn the spiritual
lessons of a life on earth. Soul Blending allows a person to connect with
and hear information directly from his own soul. Despite his human
perceptions of limits and isolation, his soul understands its unity with the
Divine Source of creation and can provide insights beyond those generated
from the rational mind.
Many ancient and modern spiritual traditions teach that a
person’s natural state is to be consciously connected with his soul and its
divine guidance at all times. But fear, doubt, and life’s seemingly
overwhelming challenges often cause him to lose touch with this inner
“knowing.” During a Soul Blending session, practitioner Wendy Tuttle is
consciously connected with her Higher Self on the soul plane allowing her to
link or “blend” with the client’s soul and give voice to its communications.
Her rational mind is not involved; she simply allows her voice to speak the
wisdom of the client’s own soul. Soul Blending can also be done with pets
and all other life forms, including wild animals and plants.
Wendy Tuttle, a professional violinist, conductor, and music teacher,
describes being aware of her conscious connection with her soul before she
was old enough to speak. From her earliest memories, she describes being
able to blend with other people at the soul level and know their thoughts
and intentions. When she could articulate her observations, many people felt
uncomfortable with her ability, and she learned to keep the information to
herself. Wendy began providing Soul Blending sessions in 1989 for close
friends, who encouraged her to broaden her clientele and teach others to
connect with their own souls.
Soul Blending is based on the understanding that the soul
provides only the depth of information, healing, and insight that the client
is ready and willing to accept. Universal law ordains that the client’s free
will cannot be violated and nothing can be accomplished without his soul
agreeing to it. The soul also is understood to present its guidance in just
the right way for the rational mind to absorb it and use it to the client's
benefit.
Soul
Blending can be done in person or over the telephone. Questions and concerns
brought to a session are as varied as the clientele. If a situation involves
a client’s relationship with another person, Mrs. Tuttle may blend with the
third party soul as well. That soul may speak through her using the person’s
own inflections and mannerisms to help the client’s rational mind accept
that a connection has been made to someone else’s soul. As with all Soul
Blending, Mrs. Tuttle can only convey information that the third party’s
soul has agreed to reveal.
If the issue involves a group, such as a family, work, or court
setting, Mrs. Tuttle may blend with several souls. The client might learn
what each person is seeking in the situation and how she intends to
accomplish that purpose. The session may also reveal any agreements that
have been made among the souls that affect the situation’s outcome. A
question about the client’s physical body may be answered by the soul
entering an organ or system, reporting details on the condition down to the
cellular level, and providing directions for medical or self-care.
Information from the soul is understood to allow the client to
make changes or better choices based on deeper insights. The rational mind
often views a situation in terms of good or bad, right or wrong. Soul
Blending is seen as broadening a client’s perspective to see a wider range
of choices and recognize that he is responsible for the outcome of any
situation.
In addition to private one-on-one, Soul Blending can take place
in a group setting, with each person asking his or her own questions. As
Mrs. Tuttle answers, she is blending with every soul in the room, and as a
result clients often report that the information given for another person’s
question has relevance for their own lives as well.
Reactions to Soul Blending sessions vary with each client. Some feel dazed
or “out of it” after the experience, although many report feeling uplifted
or experiencing a great sense of relief. Physical reactions may include
tingling in different body parts, changes in body temperature, chills, and
the sensation of organs moving inside the body. Clients have reported
forgetting the information they received during their session, only to
recall it hours, days, or weeks later at precisely the time it was needed.
Wendy Tuttle conducts Soul Blending classes to teach students to
connect with the soul plane, accessing their own inner knowing and blending
with others’ souls as well. Exercises may include an in-class soul journey
guided by Mrs. Tuttle during which students travel to a past life, a future
event that results from a recent choice, or another physical location.
Students may practice “reading” information from each other’s bodies about
their physical condition, or agree to contact each other in dream state,
then report back to the class about their interactions.
Soul Blending classes are based on the same premise as all
sessions: changing circumstances on the physical plane can be joyful and
effortless once the rational mind has lost its fear and trusts the soul’s
guidance.

Therapeutic Touch – What is it?
Therapeutic Touch is a research based practice. Scientific research has
been conducted at major hospital centres and universities and has shown that
Therapeutic Touch can have positive effects on an individuals healing
process.
Therapeutic Touch is a contemporary interpretation of several ancient
healing practices and was developed as a modern healing method in the early
1970’s by Dolores Krieger, PhD, RN, and Dora Kunz, a respected healer.
This
wholistic healing approach is a consciously directed process of energy
exchange during which the practitioner uses the hands as a focus for the
healing process. Inherent in all individuals, the Therapeutic Touch
practitioner interacts with the individual’s energy field to facilitate
symmetrical and rhythmical energy flow.
Therapeutic Touch is currently being used in many hospitals, health centres
and private practices as an adjacent to conventional methods of treatment.
The
common effects of Therapeutic Touch are:
Promotes Relaxation - Changes the perception of pain -
Reduces anxiety
Enhances the individuals natural healing
process
Treatments may last between 10 and 20 minutes, while the individual remains
fully clothed, while seated or laying down. Practitioners use their hands
as a focal point for assessing the energy field, and then seek to balance
the field using gentle fluid hand motions. With the recipient’s permission,
the practitioner may “touch” during the treatment although much of the work
is actually done approximately 2 – 6 inches from the physical body.
A recognized practitioner
will have trained in the Krieger / Kunz method and belong to a provincially
recognized Network for Therapeutic Touch. Feel free to ask questions about
a practitioner’s background, education and experiences. All recognized
practitioners abide by a statement of Ethics and Conduct as set out by the
Network, using the method of Therapeutic Touch developed by its founders
Dolores Krieger and Dora Kunz.

Vibroacoustic
Sound Therapy
Vibroacoustic Sound Therapy is making waves in the alternative healing
arts…. literally! Based on the study of the dolphins, that broadcast low
sonar frequency to relieve pain, and the effect of the frequency of a cat’s
purr (25-50 Hz) on human bones, science is now examining the benefits of
delivering low frequencies into the human body using sound waves.
As CNN
reported in December of 2004: “Vibroacoustic tables can help reduce blood
pressure, heart rate and stress levels…”
A
vibroacoustic table looks like a massage table on the outside, but has a
built-in sound system that delivers low frequencies directly into the body.
The sound waves penetrate the wood in the table, then the bones in the body
(a very good conductor of sound) and then travel throughout the 70% body
fluids in the human system. Sound waves massage the body leaving one in a
deep state of relaxation.
Massage therapists report that doing massages on the vibroacoustic table
takes half the effort for twice the benefit as the client is already relaxed
and receptive. The vibroacoustic table enhances any relaxation therapy but
also stands on its own. Vibroacoustic tables are only as good as the CDs
that drive them.
Specially created CDs with prominent low frequencies are necessary for
optimum effect of the table. CDs created with brainwave entrainment to
gently lead the brain from the rapid waves of Beta (our everyday, stressful
life) to the slower waves of Alpha, Theta and Delta (meditative states)
produce the maximum relaxation benefits of vibroacoustic tables.
Although hearing and ‘feeling’ the CDs on the table is the ultimate
experience, simply listening to the CDs through stereo headphones will
activate the meditative brainwave states of Alpha, Theta and Delta. There
are many advantages to spending more time in these slower brainwave states,
the most important being to help balance the nervous system. A balanced
nervous system (homeostasis) sets the environment in the body for
self-healing. Stress is killing us!
When
beginning meditation, most people have a difficult time stopping the “mind
chatter” and end up being more frustrated than relaxed. While listening to
brainwave entrainment CDs, the mind has no choice but to be stilled, making
meditation an easier and more beneficial accomplishment. The effects of
meditating 30 minutes to an hour a day are far reaching, from a balanced
nervous system to a cheerier outlook on life to a more youthful appearance.
Vibroacoustic table sessions are good for animals too!
