We are the fire; magicians of transformation, dreaming fullness, and potential. We are the air; wind and spirit, transparent and without end.

Please join me for this extraordinary training in the elements of earth, water, fire and air and the practices that move us into the phenomenal world of the shaman. Our work is in bringing together ordinary and non ordinary realities. We will work together in the deepest sense of community; and in support of the Vision Quest.

Vision Quest

The Pilgrimage of Solitude and Seeking

The Vision Quest is a vital experience in the training of the warrior. For millennia, men and women have quested to seek vision and to mark transitions. However, in all traditions, it is a contemplative way of being in nature that allows one to still the mind, to listen and to come fully present to our inner life and the presence of "other" whether animal, rock, wind or spirit. The Vision Quest is an experience of spiritual alignment that can significantly transform one's way of being in the world.

The Vision Quest includes three processes; severance from life as we have known it, solitude and incorporation. This structure and the remote beauty of the Blacktail Ranch combine to provide a quality of experience that is both life changing and life challenging. From base camp each quester journeys out to find their quest site, wherein one will enter a period of solitude for 3-5 days and nights without food. The program includes exercises and guidance in preparation and severance including the Rite of Purification, ways of being in the threshold, and a process after the Quest of incorporation and integration.

Although the Vision Quest is an experience of solitude, it is based in a rich sense of community. Relationships formed out of our capacity to invite death and transformation become inspirational. We do not forget each other, ever!
